Banff and Jasper golf courses praised

The towns of Banff and Jasper are probably best known for their spectacular views of the Canadian Rockies. But that's not all that the areas are good for. Vacationers who love golf will find a lot to love about the region, as the area is now officially home to two of the best courses in Canada.
According to ScoreGolf Magazine, one course in Banff and one in Jasper rank among the top five courses in all of Canada. The list looked at 100 courses in all, so placing in the top five was quite an achievement given the stiff competition from some of Canada's top golf spots.
Banff Springs Golf Course was the choice for the fifth best spot, with editor Bob Weeks saying "when you play at Banff Springs, you feel as if you're in a golfing paradise." Weeks singled out the course's fourth hole par-3 as perhaps the "most memorable" in the country.
Jasper Park Lodge, meanwhile, beat out its neighbor for the fourth spot, with Weeks saying "Jasper may be the quintessential Canadian golf course. It has tremendous views and challenging holes, and the best part is that is so much fun to play. You just want to keep going around and around."
Those on Canadian Rockies holidays in the summer won't just have the chance to glimpse the beauty of the mountain ranges, but will have the chance to test themselves on some truly great golf course.
