Don't miss Prince Edward Island's Jazz and Blues Festival
Prince Edward Island vacations are great for those who simply want to relax, but music aficionados who book their trip for the weekend of September 23rd through the 26th will get to do so while listening to the smooth sounds of some talented jazz and blues musicians.

The lineup at the festival is promising, featuring a mixture of regional and international artists across a variety of genres, including jazz, R + B, blues, gospel and experimental. The festival has a number of events lined up taking place all weekend in Charlottetown, across a variety of venues.

The main acts will play at the Vector Tent on the waterfront for most of the festival. The highlight is probably Friday night, where blues fans will surely recognize a number of Chicago-based musicians teaming up for a musical reunion onstage. Traveler who prefer more intimate performances can head over to St. Paul's Anglican Church, which will be used as a concert space for the weekend.

In addition to the normal concert lineups, the event will also feature workshops in memory of Chris Driscoll, a young musician who died tragically. Driscoll's passion for music will be passed down in free lessons to the general public, where celebrated jazz and blues musicians will help others learn some basic musical stylings.
