Early summer is the sweet spot for Whistler sports

According to OntheSnow.com, the period between May and July is the best time for travelers to try and cram in as many different sports as they possibly can. Skiing on the Blackcomb mountain is scheduled to run all the way through May 23, but the season will be extended on the Horstman Glacier, which runs a ski/snowboard terrain park from June 18 until July 24. Perhaps best of all, the mountain isn't nearly as crowded as in the winter and lift tickets are heavily discounted.
Starting May 20th, the Whistler Mountain Bike Park will open. That's right - for three days between the 20th and 23rd, you'll be able to alternate between mountain biking and skiing as much as you like. The opportunity comes again once Horstman opens as well.
This doesn't even begin to take into account the various other sports available to those on a Canadian vacation. Whether it's hiking, golfing, rafting, fishing or even ziplining, the options are numerous and varied. The only problem adventure travelers may have is deciding between them all.
