Go Down Under in Rimouski, Quebec

Rimouski has become quite the destination for fans of the military, as it's the only place in the country where fans can get an inside glimpse at a Canadian submarine. The Onondonga, which retired from active duty in 2000, was towed to shore here in 2008 and set up as a tourist attraction.
The sub is completely out of the water, so those who are a little uneasy about being submerged in a sub can rest easy. Once inside, guests will be guided throughout the sub by Canadian Navy veteran Gilles Mallette, who has recorded an in-depth audio tour that explains all the inner workings of a functioning submarine.
You'll be able to tour the torpedo room, peer through a telescope and pretend to bark orders from the command center. Surprisingly, perhaps the best room on the ship is the sonar room. It's here that guests will learn about the different noises that ships and animals make while underwater and even be able to hear some recorded sounds from whales, freighters and even a school of shrimp.
