Hollywood stars light up Vancouver

The television, movie and music industries all united on one star-studded Friday night that saw multiple film crews taking to the streets and dazzling residents and tourists alike.
Tom Cruise and the crew of "Mission: Impossible 4" have been in town for a while, and the celebrity and his family have been seen at various hotspots around the city. On Friday night, the crew was outside filming a scene.
Across town, "Underworld 4," which recently arrived in B.C., was simultaneously filming a scene at the Orpheum Theatre. The new movie features Kate Beckinsale and will reportedly continue filming over the next few weeks.
Also in Vancouver was Bon Jovi, playing a concert at the Rogers Arena. The CW network show "Supernatural" was also reportedly out on the same night, filming a scene at the Terminal City Iron Works.
Finally, perhaps the most popular film in B.C. was actually outside the city - the cast of "Twilight: Breaking Dawn" were on set in Squamish, just outside Whistler.
Travelers on a Canadian vacation won't be guaranteed to have a run-in with a celebrity, but considering the number of film, TV and rock stars mulling around the city at any given time, there's probably a pretty good chance.
