Whistler and Blackcomb offer skiing and more

Whistler and Blackcomb, in British Columbia, are two of the top ski resorts in North America, but there are plenty of other activities to keep travelers satisfied beyond slaloming down the slopes.
For example, travelers might want to attempt snowshoeing if they haven't. Snowshoeing is an important tradition in Canada, and unlike most places in America, some residents in the northern parts of Canada actually use them to get around. Travelers can learn the skill from expert guides at the resorts.
The region also offers a lot for families. With the forests dressed in white, taking a horse-drawn carriage ride through the snow with the entire group will certainly be a memorable experience.
Of course, the area is still most famous as a ski resort - and no wonder, with over 200 trails between the two mountains, in addition to 12 bowls that snowboarders will appreciate. For the hardcore, there are also opportunities for heli skiing from some of the harder-to-access peaks.
For those on BC holidays, Whistler and Blackcomb should be high on their list of destinations - even if they don't ski.
