“ I wanted to tell you once more how much Julia and I enjoyed the vacation you provided for us. I find myself 'daydreaming' every time I think of the absolutely terrific train ride through the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. I have tried to relive every moment and still find new things to remember realizing even more how breathtaking it all was. I am very happy that we decided 'not to have any goals'. This allowed us to see and cherish every single moment and properly file it in our memories. I purchased two "Gold Leaf" wine goblets for Julia and I and made a rule that no one in our family could drink out of them and that only Julia and I were allowed only if we were wearing our "Gold Leaf Pins". Silly, yes but it keeps our memory of the journey special. ”
Canadian Rail Tour Reviews & Testimonials
The scenery is simply stunning

“ I thought you would like to know that the trip that you organised went off perfectly. We had blue skies throughout! The scenery from Jasper onwards is simply stunning. So thank you for arranging such a great holiday! ”
Absolutely amazing and breathtaking

“ The trip was wonderful! Absolutely amazing and breathtaking. Thank you so much for your help with the planning. I did lots of sightseeing... from the Capilano suspension bridge in Vancouver to hiking near the Bow River in Banff. The trip from Jasper to Banff was incredible... The Rockies are so bright and happy. And the train trip was a classic experience that I will definitely have to do again. ”

From beginning to end everything was perfect

“ I want to thank you for an absolutely fabulous trip that you planned for us. From beginning to end everything was perfect and even when I misplaced two coupons your office quickly faxed new ones to our hotel. The hotels were fantastic, the service perfect, and everyone was so helpful and friendly. My son's comment was, "Canada is an upgraded United States" and I wouldn't be surprised if he moved to Vancouver or Victoria. The Rocky Mountaineer was a once in a lifetime experience and first class all the way. I must have gained 10 pounds just in those two days. What a magnificent country you have and what wonderful people. ”
We enjoyed the splendor

“ We have left Canada after our trip which we thoroughly enjoyed. The arrrangements which you made for us all went very well and we enjoyed the beautiful splendor of the Canadian Rockies and the service on the train was excellent, certainly a journey to remember. I would like to thank you for your help in making those arrangements on our behalf. ”

Wonderful holiday in a great country

“ Thank you and your team for helping us to have a wonderful holiday in your great country. Everything went like clockwork. We had no problems with any of the accommodation, tours or the Rocky Mountaineer train. I will have no problem in recommending Fresh Tracks to anyone wanting to take the Rocky Mountaineer. Our holiday has certainly left us with long lasting memories of the train, scenery, people etc. We will be coming back to Canada for sure, sooner rather than later. We are thinking of coming back to Vancouver to visit Victoria and whale watch etc. and wondered if you could help us again nearer the time. Once again thanks for all your help! ”
It was beautiful!

“ We had a wonderful trip! Who knew we would have to go to Churchill to find summer weather! I believe either the first or second day there Churchill was the hot spot in all of Canada! It was beautiful! The people of Churchill are really wonderful, and their friendly attitude just makes the trip that much more special. Coral, our tour guide for the town tour when we first arrived was fantastic. She is definitely in the right profession. She is obviously passionate about the history, culture and natural aspects of the area, and was a wealth of information. She was also genuinely interested in the people on her tour. The belugas were fantastic! Both boat trips (the big boat and the zodiac) were fantastic. The guides were knowledgeable and very friendly. What an incredible experience. The zodiac trip would be the highlight, I guess of a very wonderful trip! This would be because we were so close to the whales. They are amazing to watch and to listen too. It often sounded like they were talking to us. A bonus of the trip was the aurora borealis. It was like watching music and seeing ghosts dance. It was incredible. Also the food was great. The local bakery, deli and town hang out spot is excellent. The Tundra Inn Restaurant was really, really good. The Aurora Inn was just fine. Clean, the room was large and comfortable. I will definitely recommend you and Fresh Tracks to anyone who is interested. Friendly staff makes such a difference! Thank you for everything! ”

All hotels were excellent

“ What a fantastic experience my grandson and I had in Canada! There was so much to do in Vancouver. We went to Stanley Park and the Aquarium, the Lookout Tower and dinner in the revolving restaurant. And the next day we went to the Capilano Bridge and Treetops Adventure and dinner at Earl's. Then the train trip was so much fun, made so by Adam , our porter and Moun in the dining room and of course, the beautiful sceneryl outside the window. The Canadian Rockies are breathtakingly beautiful. And the hotels we stayed in were excellent. At each one (the Fairmont Waterfront, the Jasper Park Lodge and the Banff Springs Hotel), the receptionist would say, "I understand you requested 2 beds and a view." And that's what we got, 2 beds and the most gorgeous views and at each hotel we were also upgraded. At the Fairmont Waterfront we were upgraded to the Gold Level and at the Jasper Park Lodge we were upgraded to a junior suite.Thank you for that, it made our trip so enjoyable. And the transfer drivers were so nice, and we learned so much from the Brewster guide, Ric, on the Ice Field Parkway. What an outstanding day that was! Thank you for all you did for us to make it such a great trip. We really appreciate it. ”
It was absolutely wonderful

“ You did a superb job of planning and executing our trip. It was absolutely wonderful and everyone we met was most helpful, friendly and more than we expected. And how delighted we were and totally surprised when the attendant on our first train trip upgraded us to First Class because of our 50th Wedding Anniversary!!! It was GREAT! All of the tours were informative, funny and friendly. We will have lots of good memories and big love for our neighbor to the north. Thank you again for doing such a good job. ”
The tours were wonderful

“ We loved the trip! The train ride was lovely with better food and smoother ride than Amtrak. The Canadian people were charming and helpful and the food was exquisite. We loved Place d'Arms, the rooms, location and complimentary breakfast in that gorgeous dining area. We ate at Modavie and the food and atmosphere was wonderful. Tours were wonderful also. We had an 18th floor room overlooking the seaway at the Frontenac and the architecture with the views was fabulous. We ate at Michaelangelo in Saint Foy - fabulous. Thanks for everything, you are very professional and I have recommended you to my friends. ”

Many many thanks

“ It was absolutely great, and my wife Sarah and I were extremely impressed with the level of detail that your company advertised and delivered. At first I was very sceptical about booking a holiday with a company on another continent however I was proven wrong and have already passed your details onto friends and associates as they too are thinking of coming to visit your super country. Should we think of coming back to Canada again, we will be in touch. Many many thanks! ”
A lifetime worth of memories

“ Thank you to Fresh Tracks for their superb professionalism in arranging this wonderful and colourful trip through the Rockies. The memories will linger for a lifetime and hopefully we will top them up in the future. ”

Unforgettable honeymoon trip

“ We absolutely LOVED the Canada trip! We did not want the trip to end! I will try to send some of our pictures, we got some really great ones on the Johnston Canyon Ice Hike and the dogsledding and snowmobiling trips as well! My new husband and I were very happy with the service we got and the way everything was set up. The Fairmont in Jasper was amazing - they were the most accommodating of all the places we stayed (free room upgrade, complimentary champagne & chocolate strawberries in the room, free dessert at dinner in their restaurant). The only thing we might have changed is perhaps the Deer Lodge in Lake Louise, it was nice and quiet, but perhaps a little too quiet for us, as we felt sort of like the only people there and we wanted to be around a few more guests at times, but the service there was good and the rooms were nice, and we loved the roof-top hot tub. If we did the trip again, which we have mentioned several times since we got home, we'd maybe like to spend two days in Banff and one day in Lake Louise, since there's so much more to see and do around Banff that we would have liked to have just maybe one more day. The Fox hotel was very nice as well, and the service there was great, too. All our transfers and excursion pick ups were on-time and friendly, and we had a blast on all of them! Thank you again for an unforgettable honeymoon trip! I'll send some pics as soon as possible! ”
The Rocky Mountaineer was spectacular

“ My wife and I travelled from Edmonton to Vancouver via Jasper, Lake Louise and Banff. The train trip over the Rockies on the Rocky Mountaineer was spectacular. The holiday went like clockwork and we will use Fresh Tracks again when we are in Canada. They were friendly, informative and very helpful. ”
We had an awsome holiday

“ Well we're all back now, and we had an awsome holiday! Thank you so much for putting that together, and how you managed to get such great suites in each of the hotels I dont know!!! But cheers! ”
We really enjoyed ourselves

“ Thank you! The itinerary and places to stay as well as your suggestions for eating and visiting were great. We really enjoyed ourselves. It was one of the best vacations we have had and hassle free. Everything was extremely well arranged by Fresh Tracks from arrival to departure. The hotels were very well chosen. The scenery in the Rockies was stunning and we saw a lot of wildlife including eagles and bears. One of the restaurants you recommended in Jasper has closed down but may we suggest the "Fiddle River" as an excellent place. We ate there on all three nights we spent in Jasper. Thank you once again for an unforgettable vacation. ”
The arrangements were seamless

“ A huge thank you for arranging our holiday! The arrangements were seamless and we had a great time. We are looking forward to using your services again in the future to see more of your beautiful country! ”
The rail ride was everything we expected

“ The trip was awesome. Everything was well planned and we enjoyed the activities that were set up. The rail ride was everything we expected. Thanks! ”

A great experience not to be missed

“ Firstly we thank Fresh Tracks for the excellent organization of our trip and dealing so efficiently with the minor problem we had with our car rental. Travelling in winter does have its advantages as places are not overcrowded with people. This was advantageous on VIA Rail's the Canadian as there were only ten of us travelling in the sleepers. There was plenty of space in the domed viewing car and there was a 'family' feel to dining, where all the meals were of the highest quality, as we all ate at one sitting and made friends with all our fellow travellers and were fascinated by the tales and experiences they recounted to us! The VIA railway staff, from our beginning in Jasper right through to Quebec, which included two rail transfers, could not have been more helpful in giving us advice and pointing us in the right direction. The Winter Carnival in Quebec was fascinating and an experience not to be missed. There was so much to do and the events and activities suited all age ranges. Quebec City was an interesting place and really needed more time to explore but there is always another time. We found it interesting to see the different cultures between the Rockies and the Quebec region but found people very helpful in both areas despite our poor attempts at the French language. For a party of four 'oldies' a holiday like this, although tiring at times, was a great experience not to be missed! Again, thanks to Fresh Tracks for their organization of such a holiday. ”

The Rocky Mountaineer was A!

“ We had a great adventure in Western Canada. We saw Stanley park, English Bay where I had to dip my feet in the Pacific. It was the first time I saw, felt and tasted the Pacific. The Rocky Mountaineer was A! From the train we saw bears, eagles, elks and one wolf. In Jasper we tried to go the the Columbia Icefields but by the time we got there there was a snow out but our guide made up for it by showing us other points of interest. Lake Louise was still frozen but the scenery was great. We had lunch at the Chateau. Banff, again the scenery was awesome. We noticed a lot of young people wearing shorts and flip flops. Still kind of early for my liking. Again thank you for all your help in this adventure. We would like to go out West again in the future. Here is a picture of me all dressed up to go and have lunch downstairs! ”

Overall a great trip

“ We had a great time and loads of bears. Sitting, rolling on their backs, fighting, walking. We were really pleased that we did the lodge rather than going out on the tundra buggies. We were going on a sledge ride and had a great time. If we did it again I think we would have tried to have more time in Vancouver, there is a lot to see and a week would be great. Also the trip on the icefields, rather than just a transfer it would have been good to have a sight seeing tour as well. We were lucky that one of the other passengers was a long lime resident of Jasper and keen walker. She gave us a running commentary all the way to Banff. Many thanks for overall a great trip! ”

Thank you for a fabulous trip

“ My husband and I wanted to go somewhere different, somewhere natural and unspoilt, where we could explore and journey and not be constantly fed the commercial fare of the standard tourist locations. We found the perfect venue for our travels. Newfoundland is beautiful and very natural. A visit to this part of Canada is bound to be an adventure. If you yearn for open space, clean, fresh air, a rugged landscape and the opportunity to experience life as it is lived in isolated communities that are steeped in history, this is the place! This is a very special place and one we will never forget. In short, if you like Fresh Tracks adventures you will like Newfoundland. Don't just take my word for it, get out there and experience it for yourself. And thank you Fresh Tracks for a fabulous trip! ”

The best holiday we have ever had

“ Just a quick note to you to let you know how much we loved every part of our holiday. It would be very difficult to say which bit we liked best, as all of it was good and we couldn't have been luckier with the great weather. The scenery in the Canadian Rockies is amazing and we met some really lovely people on our travels. We loved the white water rafting and the ziplining and the trip to Spirit Island was fantastic. We loved the Rocky Mountaineer and the service on board was brilliant! Each of the hotels were excellent and all of the activities and transfers were brilliant. We hope this is just one of many visits to Canada! We can't thank you enough for this holiday - we all agreed it was the best holiday we have ever had! ”

Great scenery and hotel accommodations

“ We returned from our wonderful and flawless trip through the Canadian Rockies. What great scenery and hotel accommodations. Attached is a photo of me and my husband James at Lake Louise which as you can see had lots of snow. Thanks for all of your help. Many of my friends are anxious to hear about our trip. ”

An amazing trip

“ I talked to the girls and all agree the absolute highlight of the trip was the Emerald Lake. The beauty, quiet and options were outstanding. We all went our separate ways for hikes on the one full day we spent there. The lake was amazing and the views were breathtaking and it was worth the effort. We only saw one other person on the trail in nearly 7 hours of hiking and I was very grateful for the hot tub when we got back. The guided hike to Stanley Glacier was also outstanding. Our guide was great and we had a chance to meet some great folks from the UK and Australia. Our kids hiked across the glacial bowl and filled up water bottles from the waterfall coming off the glacier, so we could all sample some, and we all had a chance to wade in the stream flowing off the moraine to cool our feet on the way back down. On the way from Jasper back to Calgary, the kids opted to go white water rafting in Field on the Kicking Horse, and really enjoyed themselves. The day trip we took to Whistler was spectacular. Several folks have asked about the trip, and I have given you and your team my highest recommendation. Thank you once again for setting up an amazing trip, and creating memories that our family will cherish for a lifetime. ”
