“ I came to Canada 5 years ago for a holiday and never left! I truly fell in love with everything Canada has to offer and the people are a large part of that. I've been lucky enough to travel across the country, lived in Montreal and now call Vancouver my home. Canada holds so much charm, diverse landscapes and historical culture, there is just so much to explore. If you come to Canada, I'll show you why I could never leave. ”

“ Spending time in Whistler is always an exciting experience. The majestic mountains and countless activities not only make it the perfect playground for outdoor enthusiasts but also one of the most glorious places to just sit and take in the raw beauty. Being there during winter is incredible (I love ziplining – what could be more exhilarating?) and the people are always so genuine and fun! ”

“ I love the West Coast! I moved here from Ontario years ago but am still in awe of the mountains and ocean. I commute to work from an island and am lucky enough to get to enjoy the natural beauty of the West Coast on a daily basis. Sometimes we're even greeted by whales or dolphins as we boat in! We're close to world-class ski mountains, beautiful city of Vancouver, and are just a short ferry ride away from Vancouver Island. ”

“ I love the mountains – walking over extinct volcanoes, traipsing through glacial valleys to the ridges of mountain tops! So naturally, I love the Rocky Mountains. Although, nibbling on artisanal cheeses, sipping local ciders and wines in the heart of Old Quebec City is hardly something I can live without! Canada is so diverse, and I just feel incredibly lucky to live in a place so rich in geographical terrains and cultural history. ”

“ I adored my time exploring Newfoundland and Labrador. The icebergs were amazing, both to see and taste (think iceberg beer and iceberg martinis)! The history of the region really blew me away – Vikings and whalers sure made their mark here. Although I didn't spot a moose up close, I did see plenty of whales! I'll never forget the fields of vibrant wildflowers and the delicious berries they produced – yum! ”

“ I am completely smitten with the Maritimes and love how easy it is to cover New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI in one trip. The drive is half of the fun, with stunning seascapes and the amazing Confederation Bridge! The red sand and warm water at all of PEI's beaches completely captivated me. And of course, no PEI visit is complete without tasting some locally-made ice cream and freshly caught mussels! ”

“ Getting on horseback and roaming the open meadows and birch forests with my dog at my side is the perfect quintessential Canadian getaway! Old homesteads and deserted farms, wildlife and horses roaming the fields will get you thinking you’re a cowboy (or girl!) in the Old West. It's totally worth getting up at the crack of dawn to witness the horses being driven in from the meadows. ”

“ Growing up in Oakville, ON, I was just a short distance from Toronto. Canada's largest city is a bustling metropolis with so many incredible attractions for just about anyone! There are world class museums, outdoor parks, boutique shops and international cuisine. Whenever I'm visiting, I love to take in some local theatre. From award-winning musicals to comedy, Toronto's theatre scene is one of the best in the world! ”

“ Montreal is my favourite city in Canada. It’s like a little slice of Europe, with narrow, cobblestone streets, oodles of history and, for the shopaholics out there, some of the best shopping on the continent. If you visit, be sure to try the poutine, a local delicacy of French fries, gravy and cheese curds. ”

“ I love playing tourist in my hometown city of Vancouver. Surrounded by mountains, ocean and so much pristine wilderness, it's the perfect place to go exploring. My favourite spots include historic Gastown for some of the best restaurants in the city, the Stanley Park Seawall for a scenic afternoon bike ride and our local mountains for skiing in the wintertime. Although I haven't done it yet, you really can sail, golf and ski all in one day! ”
